Oscar Podlewski is now through to the final of the Men’s Casely Invitational Open after beating fellow Brit and current UK Under 18 National Champion Tim Hewitt 7-6 (2) 7-6 (1).

It was a fantastic opportunity for the MCTA player to get his revenge on Hewitt who he lost to earlier in the year at the UK National Championships.

At 5-6 down in the first set Oscar not only broke his opponent’s serve but did so whilst saving two set points with powerful returns.  With the momentum back in his favour he sailed through the tiebreak winning it 7-2.

In the second set Oscar went a break up immediately.  Both players continued to hold their serves until Oscar found himself serving for the match at 5-4.  A couple of errors allowed Hewitt to break back but the Londoner held his nerve and secured the tiebreak smoothly 7-1.

Oscar said, “I am satisfied because I got my revenge after losing to Hewitt in the Nationals. I also proved to myself and the coaches that I have come a long way mentally since then.”

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
