Hi all,

A long time between drinks (or blogs in this case) so I better fill you all in on my new role. I started a job with Prince a couple of months ago managing a number of the larger states sales operations here in Australia. It is certainly a challenging role but one that I am thoroughly enjoying and has given me a great insight into what goes on on the other side of the fence.

Things are busy here in Melbourne with the Australian Open. Yet again it has thrown a number of surprises at us as it seems to do each year. Jelena Dokic has won the hearts of all the public here with her seemingly genuine outpour of emotion over her past decisions under the influence of her father. It is truly a great story and she is displaying a brand of tennis which should she continue I am sure will get her back into the top 20 by the end of the year.

Hi all,

As I am sure you are all aware by now, Justine went down to Sharapova on Tuesday night in the quarter finals, her first loss in over 30 matches. It was a very harsh draw for Justine because I think the pair of them are the best players in the world right now and to be in the same quarter made it tough. Maria played an outstanding match, I think it will take some doing to top that performance and it will be interesting to see how she backs up today against Jankovic. She is certainly favourite in my mind to take out the tournament, although I would like to see either Ivanovic or Hantuchova to take the title. At least one will be in the final!!!

Hi all,

Well, the Australian Open is really starting to heat up, not so much in the weather, but certainly in the matches. I cannot remeber a year where there have been so many epics, who would of thought Roger would have been pushed so much and for poor Lleyton to finish at 4.30am!!! Word has it that after his media commitments etc he didn’t leave Melbourne Park till 6 am.

Hey guys,

Another win for Justine yesterday over Olga Poutchkova from Russia means she has now moved into the third round and a step closer to the second week. She is on course to meet Sharapova in the quarter final and based on her impressive win over Davenport last night, there is definitely an anticipation from organisers about this match up.

Hi all,

It doesn’t seem so long ago that I was writing a similar blog from the same tournament, but in reality it has been a couple of years. Like in previous years I am working with Justine Henin as a hitting partner here at the Australian Open and thought I would give u all a little insight into how a top player operates and trains. I will be writing a number of blogs over the course of the two weeks and I hope you all enjoy what I have to say.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
