Wes MoodieWow, how a few short days can change things dramatically….Murray and Djokovic out. I had heard rumours that Murray had been battling with flu before his match, but didn’t see Jez (his trainer) to confirm. Andy did indeed look tired so if he had been sick then good on him for sticking it out and fighting to the bitter end – if he wasn’t sick then it obviously wasn’t his best performance but I’m sure through these losses he is inching his was forward to a Grand Slam victory but not in Aus ’09.

As for Djokovic – it’s quite a retirement record he is building up. I’d like to think he was so sick he really couldn’t carry on – I always imagined myself being taken off on a stretcher in the quarter finals of a Grand Slam kicking and screaming and asking for one more chance. (“Just a flesh wound” – for those of you who know anything about Monty Python).

Well, we’ll always have to give him the benefit of the doubt – a lighter and fitter Roddick and a hot day seemed to be a bad combination for Novak. There were a few guys in the lockeroom who were all surprised that he had pulled out, including Pat Rafter - who almost fell off his chair when he saw what happened and Jim Courier who was trying to be a little more diplomatic. Certainly two guys there who would have died on centre court before they had to retire….

For those of you who don’t know, the upset of the day was on Show Court 2 - where about 40 (or less) people witnessed the number 1 seeds in mixed go down. Black and Paes were beaten 61 75 by the first time pairing of….(drum roll…) Moodie and Schnyder. Patty is really laid back so I’m quite enjoying playing with her.

I’m back on Show Court 2 tomorrow for the mixed quarters but I have a feeling they might be broadcasting Rod Laver Arena instead…

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
